William Jackson Seals age 70 died Friday, May 14 Funeral services and burial were conducted May 16 at Witter Cemetery by Chas L. McElhaney and Silas Collins, with the Bruce Brashears Undertaking Co. in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Seals had resided in Madison County practically almost all of his life.

He was married in January, 1889 to Mary Woods and is survived by her and six daughters, Mrs. Walter Ogden, Mrs. Everett Haught and Mrs. O. A. Sanders of Witter , Mrs. Guy Haught of Boston, Mrs. E.C. Reehling of Muskogee Ok; and Mrs. E. Reehling of Oktaha Ok,; also by five sisters and two brothers, Lizzie Mosley, Laura Bolinger, Julia Swope, Emilly Smith, Ollie Dennis,Asa Seals and Walter Seals. There are 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren

He was a member of the Christian Union church for about 44 years ( From Charles L. McElhaney's journal)

Birthday of August 6 1871 was obtained from handwritten paper in trunk of WM. Pleasant & Mary Ann Seals. Also marriage date of Jan 6 1888 was on that paper. Per Joy Russell's notes
