She was born May 25, 1913, in Lawrence, the daughter of Joseph J. and Annie Stubbs Eddy. She grew up in Lawrence and attended Lawrence public schools, graduating from Lawrence High School, and Kansas University.
Mrs. Shriver worked as a real estate broker, specifically, for Stephens Real Estate for a number of years.
She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Lawrence. She was a member of the Lawrence Community Symphony and the Lawrence Music Club, and while at KU she was a member of the Theta Epsilon Beta Chapter from 1932-33.
She married Claude A. Shriver in July of 1945 in Lawrence. He died Jan. 17, 1982.
The family suggests memorials to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church in Lawrence, sent in care of the funeral home.
