Mrs. Nancy Ellene Bacon Carnathan, age 69, of Okolona died Thursday, Jan 3 at her home. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan 5 at Okolona Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Oddfellows Cemetery, Okolona with the Rev. David Greer officiating.

The daughter of the late Wadie Anthony and the late Nannie Lou Grimes, she was a homemaker. A lifelong resident of Chickasaw County, she was a member of Okolona Presbyterian Church. She was the widow of the late Clyde Carnathan, Sr.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Susie Wardlaw of Okolona; three sons, Thomas Lee Carnathan and Clyde Baxter Carnathan, Jr., both of Okolona and Alfred Marlin Carnathan of Tupelo; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Malone and Mrs. Betty Parchman, both of Amory, Mrs. Lillie White of Mobile, Alabama and Mrs. Josie Carter of Kosciusko; two brothers,William Bacon of Aberdeen and Mac Hansel Bacon of Charleston, South Carolina; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jack Gregory, Sr., Jack Gregory, Jr., John Gregory, James Edens, bob Hinson, Tom Brooks and Smoky Selestak.

Abrams Funeral Home of Okolona was in charge of arrangements.
