Mabel A. Sweet, 79, Dies Here. Mrs. Mabel A. Sweet, 79, died Saturday at the Johnson Nursing home, 1709 Tenth St., after a long illness.
Mrs. Sweet, of 1104 Twenty-sixth St., had lived in Des Moines 77 years. She was born in Boone She was a member of Chapter 89, Order of the Eastern Star, and First Methodist church.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the White West Grand Avenue funeral home, with burial in Woodland cemetery.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John Harlan, Ames; Mrs. Frank Thompson, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Will Young, Fort Wayne, Ind; a son, Homer G., of Denver, Colo, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
