Kenneth H. "Shorty" Engley, 87, of East Wenatchee, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, at Colonial Vista Rehab and Care Center.

He had lived in the Wenatchee Valley for 68 years. He was a longtime mechanic at Keokuk and was also an orchardist.

Survivors include five sons, James Engley, Gerald Engley, Richard Engley and David Engley, all of East Wenatchee, and Joseph Engley of Spokane; five daughters, Helen Quaranta and Rosie Knemeyer, both of East Wenatchee, Mary Engley of Seattle, Jeannie Stull of Mountlake Terrace, and Kathleen Tsipras of Spokane; a brother, Arthur Engley of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and two sisters, Dorothy Taylor of Wenatchee, and Edith Compton of Miami, Fla.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, East Wenatchee. Concluding services and interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, East Wenatchee. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Telford's Chapel of the Valley.
