Lawrence Wayne Benham, 64, of 224 BenhamRoad, Brandenburg, died Thursday, Oct. 17, at his residence. Mr. Benham was born April 18, 1927, the son of James and Bettie Mae Streible Benham.

He was a retired LG&E shift supervisor and a member and trustee of Weldon Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Velma Benham, Brandenburg; two children, Mrs. Allison Cundiff and Mrs. Carla Burns, Brandenburg; three brothers, James Benham, Luke Benham, Brandenburg, and George Benham, Elizabethtown; four grandchildren, Jeremy Cundiff, Jennifer Burns, Jamison Burns and Julie Burns. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday from the chapel of Hager Funeral Home, with the Rev. Elmer Wheatley and the Rev. Gary True officiating. Burial was in Weldon Christian Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Weldon Christian Church Cemetery fund.
