Mrs. Minnie Allison, 79, Is Stricken
EDINBURG - Mrs. Minnie Allison, 79, Edinburg, died about 6 a.m. today at the Madison state hospital after a 4-year illness. She lived at 211 North Lincoln street.
She was the widow of Jefferson Earl Allison, who was a printer for many years. He died Feb. 5, 1940.
Born in Evansville April 9, 1885, she was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Kuch Wurtz and was married to Mr. Allison April 25, 1904.
Surviving are two daughters Miss Alberta Allison, at home, and Mrs. Thelma Cowles of Berkley, Mich.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Freida Mitchell and Mrs. Louise Fields, both of Edinburg, six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Mutz funeral home in Edinburg with burial at Rest Haven cemetery. The Rev. William Schuermann, minister of the Edinburg Christian church, where she was a member, will read the rites.
Persons may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
