In the death Monday of Mrs. William M. Sawyer, this community has lost an estimable woman. Mrs. Sawyer has been ill for sometime and for a week and more her condition was considered very serious, so that the Angel of Death entered not unawares.
Sarah J. Moreland was born in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Moreland. In 1857 she was wedded to William M. Sawyer and eight children were born to their union. Concerning the surviving relatives, we were unable to get definite information.
The funeral services were held this - Tuesday-afternoon at the family residence, and all that remained mortal of Mrs. Sawyer was laid to rest in the Manchester cemetery.
