Cheryl and Rudy were married on August 25, 1985 in Montebello, California. Embracing marriage and family life, Cheryl welcomed the role of step mother to Angele with an open heart. On January 16, 1988, Cheryl and Rudy were blessed with their son, Adrian and On April 1991 Anthony. The most import roles in her life were that of mother and wife. Rudy and Cheryl moved to Rialto, California in 1989 and returned to live in Monterey Park, California in 1999.
Although her parents preceded her in death they were never far from her in thought and prayer. Cheryl missed them everyday and kept them close to her heart. Over the last four years Cheryl embraced life and she courageously faced the challenge of overcoming the difficult treatments and hurdles of care to those at the Wellness community. Always smiling and laughing she graciously lived each day intentionally being present to her boys and Rudy. As her illness progressed she always managed to take interest in her family and friends' lives never wanting to cause them to worry.
Through all of her life, Cheryl's faith wasthe foundation of her life and family. Whenever she encountered a struggle or a situation that she could not control she would ultimately surrender to God's will in her life through prayer. She has been a source of strength, wisdom, and hope for others. Cheryl not only showed us how to love and live but she taught us how to die with grace.
