Charles William "Bill" Adams of Excelsior Springs MO was born March 14, 1936 the son of Jewell Thomas Adams and Mary Orilla Crouse Adams in Ray County, MO. He died May 10, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City MO.
He was first married to Bonnie Ruth Love and of this union 6 children were born. Later he married Gala JoAnn Morrison who preceded him in death April 1999.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; three brothers, Jimmy, Wayne and Bobby; two sisters, Naomi Johnson and Carol Dye; two daughters, Mary Opal Adams and Anita Faye Adams and one son, Billy Jay Adams.
He is survived by two sons, Bennie Jewell Adams and Charles William Adams, Jr., both of Excelsior Springs; one daughter, Bonnie Jean Curtis of Santa Clara, CA; one grandson, Christopher Adams of Excelsior Springs; two granddaughters, Crystal Curtis and Candice Curtis both of Santa Clara, CA; one step-son, Rex Morrison of Lawson; two sisters, Myrtle Pate and Woneta Malott and one brother, Earl Ray Adams, all of Excelsior Springs.
Mr. Adams was reared in Ray County, MO where he received his education. He had worked as a farmer for Henry Schwarz for over 40 years. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Polley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. Burial will be in the Polley Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday May 13, 2008 with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday evening at the Polley Funeral Home.
