Mrs. Ollie Blackburn Freeman, 85, died Tuesday, March 28, in Syl-View Nursing Home after a long illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock in Goloid Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Culbreth, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Sylvania, and the Rev. Jeff Beasley, pastor of the Goloid Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Church cemetery.
Mrs. Freeman, a Screven County native and lifelong resident, was the wife of the late Albert G. Freeman. She was a member of the Goloid Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle F. Godbee, Sylvania; two sons, Dorace A. Freeman, Sylvania, and Robert B. Freeman, Decatur, Georgia; three sisters, Mrs. Johnson A. Ennis, Sylvania, Mrs. W. H. Ennis, Knoxville, Tennessee, and Mrs. J. K. Scott, Evans, Georgia; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
