DEATH OF MRS. JULIUS STAUSS
Her many friends will be grieved by the death of Mrs. Julius Stauss Sr., which occurred at her home, 1002 West John street, at eight o'clock, Thursday evening, following a prolonged illness. She was stricken by paralysis in the latter part of last October.
Krescentia Eberl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Eberl Sr., was born in Bavaria, Germany, Aug. 17, 1865, and came to this country with her parents, when seven years of age.
On Sept. 18, 1883, she was united in marriage to Julius Stauss, a union to which five sons and two daughters were born. Her husband and one son preceded her in death, the former more than 35 years ago.
Surviving to mourn her passing are two daughters, Mrs. A.W. Bredemeier and Mrs. A.C. Boehl, both of this city; four sons, Frank, George and Michael Stauss, all of this city, and Julius Stauss, at Denver, 16 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three sisters, Mary Eberl, Mrs. John Ellsworth and Mrs. A.H. Wicker, all of this city.
Funeral services will be held at nine o'clock, Monday morning, in St. Mary's cathedral with burial in the family plot at Grand Island cemetery. Friends desiring to view the body may do so Sunday, between the hours of four o'clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock in the evening, at the Livingston-Sondermann funeral home.
