Born October 8, 1927 in Rowan Co., Mr. Beaver was the son of the late Mamie Lillian Rodgers Beaver and the late Sloan Odell Beaver.
He was educated in Rowan County schools, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Cannon Mills Plant #1 and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Beaver was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Safrit Beaver on Feb. 21, 1999.
Survivors include sons Randy Odell Beaver of Concord and Dennis Robert Beaver of Charlotte, daughter Ashley Stanley and husband William Tony Stanley of Granite Quarry, sisters Gladys Tate of China Grove and Marie Wagoner of Salisbury, and grandchildren Samantha Stanley, Jason Stanley, Cheyenne Stanley, and Townie Jo Stanley.
Graveside Services: 11:00 am, Monday, July 23, 2007, at Salisbury National Cemetery, Statesville Blvd., officiated by Rev. Rick Perry. Military Honors will be conducted by the Rowan County Honor Guard.
