"Died Suddenly on Saturday - Frederick Aeschliman, 62, died suddenly Saturday morning at the home of his nephew, Harold Aeschliman, 841 Bates street, following a short illness. Mr. Aeschliman was born September 18, 1889, at Mancelona and when a small child moved with his parents to Elk Rapids, where he resided until moving to Montana, where he lived for 18 years, returning to Traverse City in 1925. For the past several years he had been employed at Sleder's Foods.

Surviving are two brothers, Carl and John Aeschliman, and three sisters, Mrs. Rose Lake, Mrs. Frank Weathers and Mrs. Wesley Carlisle, all of Traverse City, and several niece and nephews. Services will be held at 2:30 Tuesday at the Weaver-Reynolds funeral home with Dr. Howard Towne officiating. Burial will be made in the family lot in Maple Grove Cemetery at Elk Rapids." -- Traverse City Record Eagle, 5 November 1951 edition.
