Fred Brown died at Vermillion County Hospital after being admitted for surgery about 2 weeks ago. He was the son of John D. Brown and Emma Almetta Foos Brown. He was married to Maude Billings who survives. Mr. Brown and his wife were employed at the Rockville Sanitorium for several years, retiring about a year ago. He was a member of the Hillsdale Methodist Church and the Oddfellows Lodge. Survivors besides his wife are 2 sisters, Mrs. Sarah Ponton of Hillsdale and Mrs. Blanche Ronk of Akron, OH, and 2 brothers, Bert Brown of Clinton, and Harry Brown of Hillsdale.
