Stella B. Loper
HORTENSE -- Stella Brauda Loper, 84, died Aug. 25, 2001 at home. The Pierce County native had lived many years in Brantley County. She was a member of Satilla Baptist Church. She was the widow of Solomon M. Loper.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Shelba L. Cartwright of Hortense; a son, Cecil M. Loper of Waycross; three sisters, Vera L. Jackson of Callahan, Fla., Barbara Ann Bennett of Jacksonville, Fla. and Mattie Sackman of Wyoming; three brothers, Henry Brauda of Kingsland, and Norman Brauda and Claude Brauda, both of Hortense; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home, Jesup. FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of God of Prophecy in Brantley County. Burial will be in Hortense Cemetery.
