"Gene" was the dear son of Nels Christian Bentzar and Johanna Maria Jeppsen.
He married his beloved wife, Dorothy Fowler, in Chicago, Illinois on Oct. 3, 1919.
He was a well-known voice instructor and professor of music at the University of Utah for many years.

Mr. and Mrs. Lind, Ninth East and Vine Streets, receive very encouraging reports of the progress of their daughter, Marion, who is studying voice in Hollywood. Miss Lind went to Hollywood in June for a vacation. There she met Professor Bentzar, who encouraged her to continue her voice culture, and pronounced her voice to be a mezzo soprano of rare quality and richness. She will remain in Hollywood for an indefinite period.
