Services were held at 3 pm, Apr 22, from Houston Funeral Home Chapel, for Edward Gilder Davis, 66, of Louisville. He died at his home at 307 Gage Street, Louisville.
The services were conducted from the Houston Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lamar Crocker officiating. Interment was in Concord Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Smith, Morgan Sisk, Raymond Griffin, Raymond Davis, Fred McIntosh and Dr. Van Philpot.
Mr. Davis was a retired employee of GM&O Railroad and a part time employee of Philpot Memorial Laboratory. He was born in Chickasaw County Jan 23 1909, the son of John E. Davis and Mabel Smith. He was a member of Louisville First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Frant Davis of Louisville; two daughters, Mrs. Sallye Salley of Jackson and Mrs. Mary Jo Covington of Santa Rosa, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Mabel Davis of Houston and six grandchildren.
