OBITUARY FREDRICK CHILD


ROY—Fredrick Abiah Child, 89, died Friday, November 27, 1998 at the Heritage Park Care Center in Roy, of causes incident to age.
He was born December 22, 1908 in Roy, Utah, a son of Abiah Wadsworth Child and Emma Clydie Olmstead.
He married Vera Archibald on May 4, 1933 in the Logan LDS Temple. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He worked for sometime at the Arsenal but was mostly self-employed as a farmer.
He is survived by his wife of Roy; one son Clair W (Carol) Child, Clinton, Utah, one daughter, Delaine Taylor, Layton, Utah; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren;
Two sisters, Thelma Weir and Fern Kearl both of Roy; four brothers, Ralph W. Child, Burley, Idaho, Ellis H. Child, Pleasant View; Norman Child; Brigham City; Dale G Child, Rupert, Idaho.
Fred was preceded in death by one son Marvin F. Child, his parents, Abiah Wadsworth Child and Emma Clydie Olmstead, one brother Leslie E. Child and one sister Neta Rees.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 2, at 11 a.m. at the Roy 14th Ward Chapel, 5850 S 2575 W Roy, with Bishop DeVerl Spencer officiating. Friends may call at the Larkin & Sons Mortuary, 496 24th St., Ogden, Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment Roy City Cemetery.
