Smiles One Family Six Times Within Three Years.
A remarkable case of family affliction comes before the public today in the death of Miss Anna Ball, which occurred at the residence of her mother, Mrs. J. Ball last night. Miss Ball had been afflicted with consumption for over a year and she died at the untimely age of 16 years and nine months. She was a sister of the late Minnie Ball who died July 8, last, also at an early age and in the midst of a beautiful christian work. The deceased was a young lady of amiable disposition and possessed a host of friends who will extend the tenderest sympathy the bereaved mother in her awful affliction. This death is the sixth that Mrs. Ball has been called upon to mourn in her immediate family within the space of three years, and the sorrow has indeed been heavy. The funeral will occur Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Second Reformed church. Kalamazoo Daily Telegraph August 20, 1890 page 7
