BUTLER - DALE E. JORDAN, 96, formerly of Swendal Road, died Thursday, March 9, 2006, in The Ohio Eastern Star Home, Mount Vernon. He was born July 10, 1909, east of Mansfield in Richland County, to Peter H. and Estella Yearling Jordan. Dale had worked in the Empire Detroit Steel Mill in Mansfield, as well as operated his own farm for more than 45 years. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church near Butler. His first wife, Delsie Jordan, preceded him in death, as did his second wife, Mary Speer Jordan, and a sister, Mary Belle Jordan. He is survived by a step-daughter, Mary Jane Reed of Summerville, South Carolina; two step-grandchildren; and his caregivers, Sheila and Rick Stull and Derrick and Nathan Stull, all of Danville. Friends may call Saturday, March 18, 2006, from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in Bunker Hill Cemetery. Pastor Patrick Bailey will officiate. Memorial contributions to North Bend Church may be made at the funeral home.
