Zora Capps Robinson
MARS HILL: Zora "Granny" Capps Robinson, 89, of 2198 Gabriels Creek Rd., Mars Hill passed away at her home Wednesday, March 26th after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County and a member of Gabriels Creek Baptist Church. A strong mountain woman, she loved gardening, raising her cattle and mountain music. Her appreciation for nature kept her outdoors much of her life where she enjoyed her flowers and trees. A woman of wisdom, she was the center of a family who loved her and relied upon her.
Mrs. Robinson was a daughter of the late Gideon and Mollie Rice Capps. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Robinson, two sons; Bruce and Jerry Robinson, three sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by a son, Lawrence Robinson and wife Carolyn, two daughters-in-law; Mary and Shelby Robinson, granddaughter, Eva Robinson, grandsons; Michael Robinson, David Robinson and wife Wanda, great grandchildren; Ashley, Audra and Alex, sister, Nellie Scott and several beloved nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, March 29th at Gabriels Creek Baptist Church. Revs Keith Edwards and Harry Culbertson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Household Members: Name Age 1930
