Roslie was my Step Grandmother
She was my Grandfather Carl Fredrick Wall's (who passed away May 22nd 1971) Second Wife the two were married sometime in the late 50's to Early 1960's She was a Social Worker/Guidence Counselor for many years for The Indianapolis Publis School(I.P.S.) System. I refered to her as Grandma Roslie while some of my cousins simple refered to her as "Aunt" Roslie. I suppose my reference to her was because they were married before I was born or a very small child and What else should a child call his Grandfather's Wife but "Grandma"
Grandma Roslie was a Cool Lady she did things with me, She liked to live life to the fullest, Once (well several times) She took me to a Disco called "The Galaxy" in the late 70's /early 80's ...back in the day of "Staying Alive" and Funky Town and we danced all night, She was not the least "embarrassed" about spending quality time with her "Grandchildren" She also owned a Yellow Harley Davidson motorcycle and would take me out for a spin around the block,Or on those times when I would spend the weekends we would hop on the bike and head to Waffel House for BlueBerry Pancakes She also took me to see horror movies such as "Phantasm" and Halloween both of which still scares the bejesus out of me Especially while Graving alone in a gothic cemetery. I also credit her to some of my love for Cemeteries and pointing out the beauty that lies with in She also took us to the county fair and would spend hours walking aroung looking at all the exibets
She was also a Artist in her own right using found objects to create works of art such an Sea Shells and creating Sea Scapes and a Tree Root turned into a magnificant Table, Woodworking was a Hobby she shared with my Grandfather
the two never had any children of their own so I think she reguarded us all with that much more love She was preceeded in death by her Husband Carl and was survived by her Step Children Carl Clifford"Junior" Wall, Georgia Walker, Wilma Ann Harris and Wm "Bill" Andrew Wall Sr. and numerous Step Grand Children she was also survived by her parents Mr. & Mrs. John (Joyce) Tally (Now deceased)
She... after retiring from the Public School System She moved to Brownsburg Indiana, and spent her days wondering her property, getting inspiration from nature and taking care of her Horse Patches, she did manage to do a bit of traveling to places such as Haiti and Moscow (when it was still the former U.S.S.R.) She was a Lot of fun to be around,
