Graveside military services Norris Edward Ackerman, 69, of 3507 Glover Ave., who died of a heart attack Thursday while on vacation in Albuquerque, N.M., will be at 11 a.m. today at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, N.M. Mr. Ackerman was born and raised in West Des Moines. He lived in Albuquerque for more than 20 years. He retired in June 1969 from work as an ordinance engineer with the U.S.Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Abbie of Des Moines; a stepson, Charles Lutman of West Chicago, Ill; a sister, Betty Roudabush of Parris, Calif.; a brother, Merwyn of Des Moines; and three grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Home in Albuquerque, N.M.
