Death: Aug. 5, 1859

John and Mary (Todd) Pritchett were early settlers of Union Township. Their son James's obituary indicates they moved from Kentucky to Hendricks County, Indiana in 1826. John is listed as one of those in the first Methodist class meetings organized by another early pioneer, William Montgomery, in 1832 which is considered the founding of what would become today's Lizton United Methodist Church. John and Mary were the parents of nine children: Jenny Fleetwood, Harvey, William, Louisa Scott, Sarah Todd, Elizabeth Fleetwood, Mary Martin, James and Thomas. James and Thomas were Union Township farmers with Thomas owning the land where the Pritchett Cemetery was located.
