Young Mother Gives
Life For Her Child
__Wed afternoon as the last sad rites were being performed over the body of the twenty year old mother, Mrs. Jennie Hough, who had given her life to bring another into the world, word came to the church that her sacrifice had been in vain for the little four day old child had failed to survive without the care of the mother who had gone.
__The funeral of Mrs. Hough, who died Monday afternoon was held Wednesday in the Central Park Presbyterian church. When the funeral procession left the home for the church, the doctor announced that the little one would survive only a few hours.
__As Rev. Earl R. Fisher pronounced the last few words of his sermon, word came that the child was died.
__The body of the mother was then taken back to the chapel at Beatty's undertaking parlors and her dead child placed in her arms.
__Thursday morning Rev. Fisher came to the chapel and offered a prayer for the mother and child who had gone together.
__Interment was in the Linwood cemetery.
