Hallie was one of six people killed on March 27, 2023 during the mass shooting at the Covenant Christian Private School in Nashville, Tennessee.

Hallie Ladelle Scruggs was welcomed into the arms of her loving parents, Chad and Jada on June 24th, 2013. Hallie was a beautiful, big, huge light to everyone who knew her. She was very close with her brothers and loved to do adventurous things with them. Hallie loved the color purple and camo, but not together. She was extremely athletic and loved to play soccer and basketball. She always scored like a million goals. Hallie was no princess. She was right with her brothers every step of the way. There was never a challenge that Hallie wasn't ready for. Hallie was very energetic. She was often sweating, barefoot, and often had food on her face. She was a force. She was awesome. She made her family's lives so rich, so fun, and so much more at work but absolutely memorable. Hallie was not a prim and proper cautious little girl. The phrase "never a dull moment" could've been trademarked for Hallie. She loved to do chest bumps, elaborate handshake routines, and dabbing people up. Hallie was incredibly smart and feisty. She had a love for life that kept her smiling, running, jumping, playing, and always on the go. She loved ninjas and unicorns. She was such a gift.
