OLD TIMER DIES AT AGE 90 IN SONORA HOSPITAL
Perry Ratto, retired rancher of Shaw's Flat, and one of the area's oldest natives, is dead at the age of 90 years. Mr Ratto has been ill for several years and died last Monday night in a Sonora hospital.
He was born in Sonora Sept 1, 1862, son of the late Mr and Mrs G B Ratto, pioneer residents of the county. At an early age the Ratto family moved to a ranch at Shaw;'s Flat where the deceased had made his home ever since.
Mr Ratto leaves his brother, Joseph Ratto of Shaw's Flat, a sister, Mrs Mary Ratto Corato of Shaw's Flat, a niece, Mrs Lylas Taylor of Sonora, a grandniece, Miss Janice Taylor and several cousin s in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties.
Funeral services were held from the Burden chapel, internment was in the family ploy in the City Cemetery.
