Phyllis was the daughter of Joseph & Anna DiBiase. The family consist of 8 daughters & 6 sons. There were 4 babies that died in infancy. Phyllis almost out-lived her whole immediate family except for her older sister, Frannie, who died 33 days later. The family lived in South Philadelphia. Phyllis was the 13th child born out of 14 in this large family.

Phyllis married Leon on Oct 6, 1947 & moved into the southwest section of Philadelphia where they had one son in 1951. Phyllis lost her husband in 1969 & the son supported her from then on. She had 3 grandchildren which one is deceased. She was never told about her grandson Steven's death. Phyllis is also the great grandmother of 2 great grandsons & 3 great granddaughters.

She was laid to rest on May 3, 2016 at 11:30 a.m.
