MOUNTAIN VIEW - Samuel K. Canard, 45, of Kokomo, Ind., died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at Kokomo.

Born Aug. 14, 1956, in Batesville, he was the son of Samuel David Canard and Mary Elizabeth Canard Carter. He worked at the Kokomo Rescue Mission.

Survivors include a son, Brian Scott Canard of Kokomo; his mother and stepfather, Dale Carter, both of Woodrow; two brothers, Jimmy Canard of Greentown, Ind., and Wayne Canard of Woodrow; and three aunts, Lillie Davis of Pleasant Grove, Elanor Corley of El Paso and Patsy Minard of Blytheville.

He was preceded in death by his father; an uncle, R.D. Minard; and an aunt, Myrtle Corley.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hope Missionary Baptist Church at Drasco with the Rev. H.V. Hammack officiating. Burial will be in Hope Missionary Cemetery at Drasco with arrangements by Roller Crouch Funeral Home of Mountain View.

Pallbearers will be church members.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 tonight at Roller Crouch Chapel.
