Mary Elizabeth "Bessie" Collier Hall, 85, died on February 8, 1997 at Porters Nursing Home. She was born on February 22, 1912 in Iona, Idaho to Charles J. Collier and Martha Connell. She married Calvin Hall on May 14, 1931 in Washington, Utah. Marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. Her husband died on July 11, 1989.
Bessie spent her youth in Idaho. She moved to Washington, Utah when she was 18 year old and has lived there ever since. Bessie was an active member of the LDS Church. She had served in the Primary, and was a visiting teacher. Bessie loved her husband, children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren. Everyone was special.
Survivors include daughters: Mrs. Doyle C. (Helen C.) Winder of Springdale, Utah, Mary Lou White of Virgin, Utah; son: LaVar (Marilea) Hall; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; brother: Alma Collier of Rigby, Idaho. Preceded in death by husband: Calvin Hall; son: Alvin J. Hall; brothers Charles D. Collier, John Collier, Daniel Collier; four sisters; Gladys B. Collier, Loretta Radford, Alice L. Hayes-Barnes, Martha Radford.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 13, 1997 at 1 p.m. in the Washington 2nd LDS Ward Chapel (446 Mangum Rd.) Washington, Utah. Friends may call Thursday one hour prior service at the Chapel. Burial will be in the Washington City Cemetery under the direction of Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary St. George, Utah 673-2454
