George W. Graham, age 85, of Ulman, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Care Center. He was born in Brumley on November 6, 1922, a son of the late Ray and Ethel (Blew) Graham. On April 7, 1947, in Olathe, Kansas, he was married to Lora Mae McDowell, who survives at the home.

George was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was also a member and deacon of the Ulman Baptist Church.

Others who survive him include: three children, Danny Graham and wife Judy of Ulman, Judy Armstrong of Columbia and Denis Graham and wife Frances of Ulman; six grandchildren, Dana Robinett, Andrea Burks, Elizabeth Bax, Shayna Knipp, Denis W. Graham and Tabatha Bell; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Graham of Eldon; four sisters, Mildred Alieksaites of Ulman, Norma Jean Ahart of Tuscumbia, Marilyn Carico of Ulman and Kathryn Humphrey of Brumley.

Three brothers, Raymond, Bob and James Graham, also preceded him in death.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, at Ulman Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Kessler and Rev. Kevin Blackburn will officiate. Interment with military honors will be in Gott Cemetery near Ulman.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
