The family moved briefly to Poplar Grove, Fountain County, Indiana about 1863-65, before returning to Ohio. They came to Kansas about 1868. They first lived in Harrison Twp., Franklin County, KS for a few years and then was part of a local migration to the Longton, Elk County area in March of 1871.
