He was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Springfield, the son of Emil Joseph and Norma Jean Kluge Alexander. He married Patricia K. Miles Rogers in 1972 in Springfield.
Mr. Alexander was a lifelong resident of Springfield and a 1963 graduate of Feitshans High School. He worked at Fiatallis for 17 years, Sacred Heart-Griffin and Henry Nelch and Son for several years, and most recently worked for Donley Trucking. He was a member of Teamsters Local 916 and St.Patrick's Catholic Church.
Survivors: wife, Patricia; three sons, Timothy Todd Alexander of Camden, William Joseph (wife, Brenda) and Christopher Lawrence Rogers, both of Springfield; five grandchildren; three brothers, Tom Alexander of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Kevin and Carl Alexander, both of Los Angeles; four sisters, Connie Stanley, Barbara Alexander-Jones and Jennie Alexander, all of Springfield, and Julie Holm of San Diego; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: Funeral Mass, Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the Rev. John Ossola officiating. Burial: Roselawn Memorial Park.
