Guy Russell Shepard, 90, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away March 13, 2002 at his home in Tooele, Utah surrounded by his loving family. He was born Jan. 26, 1912 in Richmond, Utah to James Isaac and Maria Olsen Shepard the next to last of 12 children. He married Emma Beata Killpack on January 17, 1947, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Guy graduated from Stevens Henager Business College. He worked at Tooele Army Depot, retiring after 35 years, and owned and operated Shepard Beauty and Barber Shop. He was a veteran of World War II, assigned to the Army Air Corps, serving in the South Pacific. Guy was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully in many church callings: MIA President, Ward Clerk, 16 years as a member of two different bishoprics, Stake High Councilman, Stake Sports Director, Stake Missionary, Stake Mission Counselor, Temple Worker and Home Teacher. He was a man of integrity and charity. He received his greatest satisfaction creating and building things in his yard that would be enjoyed by his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fi! shing, camping; always sharing those moments with his family. He is survived by his caring wife Beata; son Jonathan (Sandy) of Grantsville, Ut. daughters: Susan, Tooele, Anne (Steven) Pratt, Tooele; Beata (Jeff) Clifford, South Weber; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, seven brothers and four sisters, and one grand-child, Blake Clifford. Funeral services will be Monday March 18, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tooele 5th Ward, 196 No Pinehurst, Tooele. Viewing on Sunday March 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Tate Mortuary 110 So Main St. Tooele. Interment Tooele City Cemetery.
