Elsie Pearl Pitts, 78, of 50 Denlinger Ave., Strasburg, formerly of West James Street, died of natural causes Monday at Community Hospital of Lancaster.
Mrs. Pitts was a homemaker.
She enjoyed canning, gardening, cooking, and collecting.
Born in West Union, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Thelma Ritchardson Elliott.
Surving are three sons, James H., married to Patricia Pitts, and John H. Pitts; both of Paradise, and Robert L., married to Beverly Pitts of New Providence; eight grand-children; four great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a brother Jack Elliott of Lancaster; and four sisters, June Kimball of Salem W.Va., Ethel Foltz and Betty, both of Lancaster, and Mary of Wheeling.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Elliott; and a sister, Virginia Armstrong.
