CARROLLTON, Ky. – Agnes Smith, 86, of Carrollton, formerly of Pendleton County, Ky., died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence, Ky.
Funeral services are noon today, Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Cove Hill Baptist Church in Carrollton. Burial will be in Carrollton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. today until the time of services at the church. Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth, Ky., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Smith was born in Owen County, Ky., July 12, 1921, the daughter of the late Ewing Thomas and Flotilla Payne Hayden. She married Ellis Smith.
She was a member of Cove Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, David Smith of Dry Ridge, Ky., and Wayne Smith of Bethel, Ohio; six daughters, Katie Breeden of Falmouth, Ky., Patsy McGuire, Agnes Rader and Susan Drury, all of Carrollton, Carol McDole of Rising Sun, Ind., and Mayme Steinmetz of Eminence, Ky.; a brother, Leslie Hayden of Carrollton; a sister, Coty West, Eminence, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; three sons, Kenneth Ray Smith, Joseph Smith and John Smith; five brothers, Clarence, E.T., Herbert, Edgar and Jessie Hayden; and three sisters, Audrey Banta, Alene Hayden and Marjorie Barth.
