Terry, 2 1/2, and his brother David, 1, were thrown into the Trinity River and drowned after their mother was stabbed and victimized. (Charles Roy Hefley II confessed to the crimes and in May of 1965 he was sent to the Rusk State Hospital for the criminally insane.)
