Robert Samuel Baxter, son of Robert Baxter and Harriet Baxter, formerly Wells, was born on 22 December 1887, at 8 Dawson Street, Dublin.
His father was then a Caretaker

He was a former pupil of the Royal Hibernian Military School, Phoenix Park, Dublin,
He was recorded in the 1901 census at the School.

His death was registered in West Ham district, London, where he presumably died in hospital from wounds received in action in Flanders.

In the 1901 census, his two sisters
Caroline Grace, aged 14, b. England
Harriett Frances, aged 11, b. Dublin [23 Sept. 1889]
were boarding students at The Church Home School, Clyde Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin
Their mother was not recorded in the 1901 census in Ireland, and can be presumed to have returned to England.

His name is recorded on the War Memorial in front of the former school.
