Ruby Berneice Yunker Manley, 95, died February 11, 2009 in Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus, Mississippi. Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 16 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Visitation will be one hour before service time. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.

Ruby was born on July 7, 1912 in King Fisher County, OK, the daughter of Lyman W. and Bessie (Downey) Yunker. Ruby was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Columbus, MS where she was very active. She was also a member of a quilting group. She was certified in electrical soldering and was a U.S. Civil Servant.

She married Bernole R. Manley in Assumption, Illinois on December 16, 1933. He preceded her on October 4, 1987.

Surviving are: son Berwyn R. Manley of Twain-Harte, CA; Daughter-in-law Patsy J. Manley of Columbus, MS; Brother Lowell E. Yunker of Roanoke, TX; sisters Maxine Turntine of Kearney, MO, Reatha Wilett of Oklahoma City, OK and Margaret E. Sharrett of Lawrenceville, IL; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded by husband, son Bernard Manley, brother Marvin Yunker; sisters Vera Phelps and Edna Gordon, and parents. Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption is entrusted with care and service arrangements.
