Bay - David E. Frederick, 69, of Bay, died Saturday morning, Feb. 9, 2008 at St. Bernards Medical Center.
He had lived in Bay since 1978, moving there from Jonesboro. He was a retired mail carrier for Pat Salmons and Sons and was of the Baptist belief.
He loved metal detecting and especially liked to work on old lawnmowers.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary Frederick; son, Daniel Frederick; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Dwayne Bishop, all of Bay; sister, Dorothy Martinez of Salt Lake City; and grandchildren, Brandon Bishop, Kyle Bishop and Logan Bishop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson Bailey and Edith Marie Simpson Frederick; and brothers, Eugene Frederick, Emerson Frederick, Harold Frederick and Marion Frederick.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bud Stahl officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers will be Paul Greenway, Richard Greenway Sr., Terry Greenway, Sam Greenway, Perry Greenway and John Hughes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Bishop, Richard Greenway Jr., Shannon Greenway and Dennis Hardy.
Visitation will be held tonight from 5-7 at the funeral home.
