84, of Decatur died noon Sunday (Sept. 23, 2001) in her home.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with the Rev. David Gaffron officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney. Memorials: Kenney Christian Church.

She was born July 26, 1917, in Kenney, the daughter of Roscoe E. and Ethel Kenney Meadows. She was affiliated with Kenney Christian Church. She received a bachelor's degree and master's degree from the University of Illinois. She taught in Champaign High School and for 28 years at Decatur High School. She was past regent of Stephen Decatur Chapter DAR. She was a member of Colonial Daughters of the 17th Century, Daughters of American Colonists and National Society of New England Women. She was past matron of Latham Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, past president of Sandemac Kennel Club and member of Illinois Academy of Science, Decatur Audubon Society, Decatur Retired Teachers Association and DeWitt County Genealogical Society.

Surviving are several cousins.
