David Woodyard, 73, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. David was a lifelong resident of Des Moines, a devoted son and present father. He was an avid reader and thinker, always up for discussing ideas. He adored his family and spoiled his grandchildren regularly.
David is predeceased by his father, Billy Woodyard; brother, Stephen Woodyard; and his wife of 43 years, Kathryn (Meissner) Woodyard. He is survived by his mother Lucille (Knapp) Woodyard, 3 brothers, one sister, 4 daughters, seven grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
At David's wishes, no funeral will be held. A private burial will take place in Montezuma, Iowa where he will be laud to rest with his wife, Kathryn.
