OBIT: Age 101, of Linwood Ave, Warsaw died March 20, 2004 at Wyo. Co. Comm. Hospital, Warsaw, following a brief illness. Born in Hermitage, NY, daughter of the late Mortimer and Rose Crook Neeley. She worked for several years as a Secretary at the former Warsaw Button Co., and then for many years in various capacities for the former Martin Laundry in Warsaw before retiring in the early 1960's. She enjoyed camping, gardening, sewing, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an active member of the North Gainesville Methodist Church. She was a member of the Friendly Rebekah Lodge #334 in Warsaw for over 60 years. She was also a member of the Warsaw Historical Society, the Wyo. Co. Fair Assoc. and the Canyon Camera Club. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Warsaw. Her first husband, Riley Guy Wheeler, whom she married in 1926, died in 1948. Surviving are her husband, Ernest J. Sweetheimer; 1 son, Norman Guy (Virginia) Wheeler of Holley; 1 daughter, Patricia (Leo) Simard of Warsaw; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Floyd, Lawrence and Roy Neeley and Lois Clark. Friends called Wednesday at the Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw. A Rebekah service was held at the conclusion of calling hours, followed by a funeral service officiated by Rev. Joanne Vineyard. Burial was in Warsaw Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the North Gainesville Methodist Church.
