Lewisburg Business Man Is Summoned
Irvin R. Newsome, Local Restaurant Owner, Dies Unexpectedly Saturday
HAD BEEN LOCATED HERE FOR NEARLY FOUR YEARS
Irvin R. Newsome, 46, Lewisburg business man, died very unexpectedly Saturday morning at the Good Samaritan hospital, Dayton, where he had been taken a few hours before as an emergency case. He had been in apparently good health and spent Friday in Greenville supervising the preparation of a room in which he had planned to open a restaurant soon. Friday night about 2:00 o'clock he was taken ill and growing rapidly worse was rushed to the hospital between 4:00 and 5:00 where he died at 8:00 o'clock. Death was attributed to uremic poison.
Funeral was held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Wilson, Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Newsome being cousins, Monday afternoon and was in charge of Rev. W.E. Shriver, pastor of the local M.E. church. Burial was made in Roselawn cemetery.
The immediate survivors are the widow, Mrs. Bonnie Garreth Newsome; son son, Harold of Dayton; one sister, Mrs. Catherine Bartlett of Agnew Cailf.; and three brothers, Alfred of Madison, Wisc., Ralph of Lansing, Mich and Edward of Cape May, N.J.
