Dwight F. Buckhold age 72, of 178 W. North Street, Marcellus, died in Lee Memorial Hospital, following a one year illness.
Mr. Buckhold was the son of John C. and Minnie (Janing) Buckhold. Brother of, Dorothy (Buckhold) Sams, Leon, Ralph
He was a life long resident of Marcellus, a graduate of Marcellus High School in 1939 and served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He retired in 1983 from Armstrong Machine Works, Three Rivers.
Mr. Buckhold was a member of the Wood-Hill American Legion Post 39, Marcellus.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Friends may call at the Mater Funeral Home Wednesday, March 23 at 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 24th, 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert J. Sponable, pastor Howardsville Gospel Chapel officiating. Memorials may be made to the Marcellus Ambulance Service.
