According to a September 9, 1821 Indenture between Mary Timberlake (widow of Richard Timberlake), Rebekah Timberlake Finley (Mary and Richard Timberlake's daughter), James Finley (spouse of Rebekah), Betsy D. Timberlake Baylor (Mary and Richard Timberlake's daughter) and George O. Baylor (spouse of Betsy) and the Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Mount Garrison (now known as Old East Broadwell Cemetery) granting land for a meeting house & a burying yard, with a reserved area for a burying ground for Richard Timberlake and heirs.
