Samuel Bertrand Haygood, born in Clarke Co., GA - Son of Hardin Haygood and Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Locklin.

Brother of Emmeline Cecelia, Mary Elizabeth, Martha and Sarah Bert "Sally" Haygood.

Bertrand married, 20 June 1865 in Walton Co., GA, to Emma Clotida Daniel, a daughter of Josiah Daniel and Elizabeth Jeffries.

Father of Marion D and Birdie Irene Haygood.

Emma and Samuel migrated from Clarke Co., GA to Wood Co., TX between 1871 (after the birth of Birdie). They appear in the 1880 Wood Co., TX Census. By 1900, they were living in Burnet Co., TX. In the 1910 and 1920 Census records, they are living in Austin, Travis Co., TX.
