Musician. A saxophonist, he will be remembered for his work with the R&B ensemble "Earth, Wind & Fire." His father served in the United States Military and as a result, Andrew lived in Colorado and France while growing up. Woolfolk joined "Earth, Wind & Fire" in time to contribute to their fourth album "Head to the Sky" (1973). Over the next decade, they enjoyed commercial success with the gold singles "Shining Star" (number one in 1974), "Sing A Song" (number 5 in 1975), "Getaway" (number 12 in 1976), "Got To Get You Into My Life" (number 9 in 1978), "September" (number 8 in 1978), "Boogie Wonderland" (number 6 in 1979), "After the Love Has Gone" (number 2 in 1979) and "Let's Grove" (number 3 in 1981). He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of "Earth, Wind & Fire" in 2000. In 2017, Woolfolk was inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame.
