MRS. HARRY WILLARD PASSES AWAY MONDAY

Following an illness of several years, Mrs. H. O. Willard, highly respected matron of the village passed away at her home on Cottage Grove avenue last Monday afternoon, September 4, at 5:30 o'clock.

Ada Margretta Jacques, daughter of Henry S. and Emeline Jacques, was born near Elmore, Illinois, on March 20, 1877, and died at her home in Princeville, Illinois, September 4,1933,aged 56 years, 5 months and 15 days.

On October 19, 1898, she was married to Harry O. Willard at Princeville. Ill.

To this union two sons and three daughters were born, Edwin of Wichita, Kansas, Raymond of Princeville, Mrs. Leila Clem of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Mrs. Irene Simpson of Chicago, and Mrs. Bernadine Phillabaum of Aurora.

Mrs. Willard is survived by her husband and children; also one brother Jonathan Jacques of Malin, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Malone of Wyoming, Illinois and Mrs. Emma Clayton of Peru, Nebraska; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Lorena Winchester of Elmore, Illinois, Mrs. Clara Rarick of Iowa City, Iowa and Mrs. Anna Cramer of Galesburg, Illinois. These together with five grandchildren and a large number of more distant relatives, particularly Alfred Leigh, a first cousin, who has made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Willard for a number of years, remains to mourn her departure.

Mrs. Willard was a member of the Union Grove Chapter No. 229, of the Order of Eastern Star and was also a member of the Golden Rod Camp No. 5743 of the Royal Neighbors of America.

When a young girl she united with the M. E. church at Elmore, Illinois and joined the Methodist church in Princeville with her entire family in 1918.

Mrs. Willard was a very fine type of Christian character, taking special delight in leading others in the service of her Devine Master. She was loyal to Christ and His church and very devoted to the well being of her family. She spent her entire life in the vicinity of Elmore, Laura and Princeville, where she was known as one who was always willing and anxious to help her neighbors in times of affliction.

Funeral services for Mrs. Willard were held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Princeville Methodist church, in charge of Rev. J. C. Craine. Interment was in the Princeville cemetery.
